Chinese Internal Exercise in Cambridge - Tai Chi Chuan & Chi Kung
What and when?
The general structure of the Thursday night classes in Cambridge is;
I do not offer taster sessions but you can pay a 'drop in' rate some of the classes.
You are welcome to come and look if you want but please email me before hand.
Sometimes we do one off specialised courses in which case the above timetable is adjusted.

The general structure of the Thursday night classes in Cambridge is;
- 6.30-7.10 Fitness exercises Tai Chi style class
For everyone: A series of preparation exercises excellent for loosening & strengthening but without learning a sequence of Tai Chi moves.
These movements are based on the principles of Tai Chi.
This particular sequence taught to me by Dr Chi Chiang Tao.
**I recommend this class if you are going to learn the Tai Chi form. - 7.15-7.55 Tai Chi Mini Form - 18 movement form
The Tai Chi mini form is a very brief 18 movement form - about 3 a minute sequence.
In modern times it is a starting point for learning Tai Chi proper.
It is taught in six sections over six weeks. The cycle rotates continuously throughout the year. - 8-8.45 Tai Chi advancing class - Short Form - 37 movement form
(or sometimes alternate style)
In September 2025 we will start the 'Short Form' of Dr Chi Chiang Tao.
It is very close to his teacher's (Cheng Man Ching) form.It is 37movements and about 8 minutes of movement.You can join this class as a beginner in September. After that it is open to student with some experience.
